Today is the birthday of FiftyThree co-founder, award-winning filmmaker, leading designer and avid minimalist Andrew Allen!

Here is Andrew with his famous camera-mounted helmet used in our beautiful company videos Paper by FiftyThree, Organize and Color, all which he directed.

The drawing is a parody of a poster made by A.M. Cassandre, one of the most influential poster designers of the 20th century.

Today, Time Inc. unveiled its third annual list of 10 NYC Startups to Watch for 2013. We’re honored to be featured alongside peers whom we deeply respect in the NYC startup community.

FiftyThree has grown by leaps and bounds since launching our first product Paper in March 2012. Our team continues to grow as well. Each day we’re surrounded by and collaborate with people we admire: Inventors, painters, musicians, filmmakers, marathoners, comedians, Canadians and an equally impressive team based in Seattle.
